This Kato model is their 3rd O-16.5mm body kit from Pair Hands. Prototype
was used at Ohtani mine in combination with Kyosan 3-ton. As the model is arranged to fit on 24.5mm wheelbase powered truck, it
may be larger than 3-ton class. Frame parts are molded in white metal,
and body and detailing parts are of photo-etched nickel silver sheets.
As it lacked bolt heads on the frame, I added them by slicing Plastruct's
hex rod.
ペアーハンズから次々にリリースされるＯナローボディキットの第3弾です。日ごろはキットを入手しても、しばらく温めてから作り始めるか、長期のストックになるのですが、連作の勢いが残っているうちに組み始めました。
晩年の大谷鉱山で予備機として用いられた防爆型の加藤です。協三の機関車同様２４．５ｍｍ軸距のパワートラックを用いる設計になるので、プロトタイプよりは大きく自称３トンということになります。運転席だけでなくエンジンフード側面も解放で、エンジンモールドがついています。エンジン後方はすかすかですので、本当は配線などを入念にすべきでしょうか、エッチングシートの余剰などを使って適当にごまかしています。フレームをとめるボルトがモールドされていないので、 プラストラクトの六角棒をスライスして取り付けました。
